Group solo travel in the Americas

Travel solo as part of a group tour to the Americas

Why travel solo to the Americas?

From the quiet beauty of Mexico’s cenotes in North America
to the final frontier of Patagonia in South America,
these interconnected continents offer something for every type of adventurer.

Hike the colourful prism of Peru’s Rainbow Mountain with an overnight camp at altitude or visit the vibrant street art in Colombia’s cultured capital Bogotá. Hit up the beaches of  Mexico or hone in on the wildlife of the Amazon rainforest.

Naturally, after all that adventure, you’ll want to toast your achievements, too, with other like-minded solo travellers, just like you. And luckily, there’s plenty of food and drink to go around, with caipirinha-shaking in Brazil and arepa-feasting in Colombia, wine-drinking in Argentina and ceviche-tasting in Peru.

So what will it be? Take your pick from our trips to North America, Central America and South America.

The Americas facts

Demographic

North and South America spill over the Western Hemisphere, stretching from the Arctic Ocean down to Antarctica. The main languages spoken on these continents are English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.

Heritage

The heritage found in Central and South America is vast and varied. It includes everything from the ancient Inca and Mayan ruins to the Modernist architecture of São Paulo. Old rubs happily along with new here; rich history and modern culture stand side by side.

Food

Rice, beans, fish and meats, as well as regional produce, feature heavily across North and South America. In South America, popular dishes include empanadas, ceviche and arepas. In Central America, it’s pupusas and gallo pinto. Further north, in Mexico, it’s tacos, tequila and more.

Landscapes

Central America is a land of contrasts, with rainforests, mountains and beaches all within close proximity. And in South America, you’ll find everything from the desert landscapes of the northwest to the lush, tropical rainforests of the Amazon.

Wildlife

The Americas are home to some of the world’s richest biodiversity and wildlife. In South America, native animals include the Galapagos Giant Tortoise, anaconda and capybara and in Central America, you’ll find exotic rainforest animals like the colourful macaws, mountain tapir and jaguars.
